The KANSAI SPECIAL DFB-1412PQ is a 12 needle double chainstitch sewing machine designed for simultaneous shirring.  Both needle and looper thread are standard (spun) and separate elastic thread is sewn with the looper thread together.

This machine can be ordered with 3/16 or 1/4 needle gauge.
