The presser foot for stitching straight may be considered a foot of "precision." It is helpful to sew on the lightest and finest fabrics like silk, organza, and chiffon, and with this pin can only sew with a straight stitch. It is the most straightforward point. Its accuracy, however, is useful when you need to join the pieces of fabric or when you have to sew hems straight, very close to the edge of the fabric.
