Materials You’ll Need to Design a Chapstick Keychain Holder

This DIY doesn’t take long, but you’ll still want to gather and organize the necessary project materials ahead of time. This makes the process more efficient and reduces errors. 

Before getting started, make sure you have:

• Fabric scrap (your choice)
• A pair of scissors
• A sewing machine
• Keychain ring
• Chapstick

Once you have your materials set and ready to go, you’re just minutes away from taking your chapstick keychain holder out on the town.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Cut a piece of fabric, so it measures 3.5 x 9 inches.
2. Fold the fabric in half with the right sides together.
3. Sew up the long side of the fabric with the sewing machine.
4. Turn the fabric pouch right side out.
5. Hem one of the short edges by folding the fabric just a half an inch, pressing it flat,      then folding it under a half-inch more. Stitch the fabric at the fold line.
6. Flip the pouch over and hem the other end.
7. Fold up the remaining fabric one to two inches.
8. Sew both sides of the folded fabric.
9. Thread the hem through the keychain ring.
10. Attach the keychain ring to your keys.

Once the pouch is attached to your keys, you can slip your chapstick inside and be on your way!
