Materials You’ll Need

•  A beach towel or lightweight blanket
•  Linen or cotton fabric for pockets
• Measuring tape
•  Scissors
•  Iron
• Sewing Machine
• Pins

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Cut out two 14-inch by 14-inch squares of linen or cotton.
2. Cut each linen or cotton square diagonally into two equal triangles so that you have a total of four triangles.
3. Fold all of the edges on each of the four fabric squares over half an inch and press the edges smooth.
4. Fold the long edge of each fabric triangle over another half inch and sew across them.
5. Lay a lightweight blanket or beach towel out flat.
6. Pin the fabric triangle to each of the blanket or towel’s four corners.
7. Sew the short sides of the triangles to the blanket, leaving the long end open.
